Meet Ruby! She is a happy three year old shepherd mix. She can be shy and skittish at first when meeting new people, but she will love her owner unconditionally with time. Ruby enjoys everything from long hikes to long naps and gnawing on bones. She is great with all other dogs (including the little ones) and loves to play and chase. Fully housebroken with great recall for off leash walks with a grasp of all the basic commands makes her any easy dog to care for. Unfortunately, Ruby is anxious and unhappy around kids. Her current owners really love her but are growing their family and know Ruby will be better off in a household without kids. Whoever adopts her will have a loving and loyal best friend.
Ruby's rescue story
Ruby's mother was a pure breed German Shepard. The irresponsible owner let her roam in the neighborhood without having her neutered in time. Unfortunately, she got pregnant and delivered total 6 puppies, including Ruby. Ruby and her five siblings were taken to the shelter by their master because they were not pure bred. Soon they were bailed out of shelter by the rescuer, but only three survived. Ruby was one of the fortunate puppies.
