Lara is a passionate girl; she’s playful and affectionate toward familiar faces. She behaves well around people, as well as other dogs and cats. When met by strangers, Lara would quietly observe, for thirty minutes or so, and then let her guard down. Lara is looking forward to start her new life with a family who would love and care for her. 

Lara and her mother were raised by a gravely negligent owner: Lara was kept in a small cage, and her mother was chained under a tree; they ate leftovers and drank filthy water. The frequent reminder by the rescuer to the owner about improving their living condition was totally ignored. 
Finally one evening Lara escaped. When the rescuer spotted Lara wandering by the freeway, she took Lara home with no hesitation and placed her in adoption program; she promised Lara a second chance of a loving home.
