Mickie is a handsome young pup; he has a mild and calm personality. He's friendly and cuddly; always welcomes people he met with a happy wagging tail, but wouldn't be overzealous. He was amazingly calm when taking a shot or being drawn blood at the hospital. Mickie will do best with a loving and active family, since he loves outdoor activities very much. Mickie was found at the remote mountain area. Food was very difficult to come by and Mickie was severely underweight. Occasionally there were hikers in that area. Mickie would not beg for food, but he only approached politely when waved by them. A group of hikers did not have the heart to walk away from this friendly young pup; they decided to 
take him home with them and sought help from the rescuer for him.
After settled in with his foster family, Mickie was nourished back to health; his weight increased from 22 lbs to 40 lbs. He's a healthy and happy boy now, ready to join his forever home!
