About Zoey:
Zoey is a beautiful girl with shiny black coat. She’s friendly and mellow around people of all ages.
Zoey used to be a very shy dog; her shyness mainly derived from her 2 years’ shelter life for lack of socialization. She was very skittish and reserved when we first met her. It took us two months to gradually bond with her, and then guided her to interact with humans, other dogs and strangers. Finally, she came out of her shell thru the lead of leash and a sweet and easygoing puppy that befriended her. Now sweet and loving, Zoey adores being petted. She becomes comfortable around strangers. She enjoys the companion of dogs in her foster home a lot; she’s good with cats too. Her favorite pastime is playing in dog park and takes daily walks outside.
Zoey’s rescue story:
Zoey grew up in a non-kill shelter since two months old. In the following year, a volunteer girl and Zoey bonded with a special relationship. During the period, she found Zoey was shy but had never involved in barking or fighting when there were outbreaks like those in the dog pond. On the contrary, Zoey was very friendly and affectionate to people whom she’s familiar with.
Determined to give Zoey a second chance, the volunteer checked two years old Zoey into a foster home when opportunity came. Zoey did bond with foster family but she couldn’t conquer her fear toward outside world and strangers, so she was switched to another foster home after eight months. Shortly after switched to a second foster home, Zoey ran away due to fear again. Fortunately she was found on the second day.
Since then, Zoey learned good house manner and became more sociable with people. In two months' time, she even bonded deeply with her foster dad.
Zoey has passed the physical examinations and is ready for her forever home. Please watch Zoey’s videos to learn what a great companion dog she is if you’re willing to give her a second chance in life.
